I heard that they r changing the law on driving a car how old Would u be to drive the car when the law changes
Answers:
think they are on about changing to 18, dont think its definite yet though!
I think the age is likely to be raised to 18. But really it should be about 40 for a man and 35 for a woman ~ ask any insurance company.
That is regulated by the state.what state do you live in?
18
18
i thought it was rising driving age to 18 and also pay as you drive insurance?
I think the minimum age to start driving should be changed to my age, i.e. 55.
This would cut down accidents very substantially and leave the roads pretty clear for good drivers like me.
There would be a lot less stupid people on the roads (by stupid, I mean people with cars with exhausts like sewer pipes and others like those who drive cars where the stereos are worth more than their cars!)
With so few cars, naturally the speed limits could be abolished on motorways just like in Germany.
Oh, and nothing under 500bhp would be allowed on motorways anyway so that leaves me in my M5 and precious few others to spoil my Ultimate Driving Experience.
I heard it will be from 17
i shouldn't worry about it too much mate. they were talking about putting it up to 18, 12years ago and look what happened then. absolutely nothing
DSA have not made any decision as to when or if they are going to change it yet. So it will still be 17 for the foreseeable future.
I wouldn't worry about it, this rumour has been knocking about for years, I heard it when I was going to learn to drive.
The talk apparently is:
Provisional licence at 17, then 1 years' training before full licence at 18 - can't hold full licence under 18.
Some people have said : "OK, wait 'till one or two months before 18, then do the lessons" BUT it may be that the training has to be taken over the year eg. a time frame for each module, if you like, so no-one can wait 'till the last minute and cram.
