Rover 416 p reg wirering?
Answers:
wiring on the rover should just plugin to most modern radios
sorry i don`t know. I had a 416 rover N reg last month and the engine jammed! i spent so much money on repairs on that car. So unreliable so if i were u i would insert a cd player because you would be wasting ur money. Rover never again!
The rover radio has a standard ISO plugs on it so make sure that the new radio has ISO plugs fitted,if the radio stations do not stay when you switch off the car, just swop the red and yellow wires round that should cure it, good luck
Go to any car audio store (a specialist store, or somewhere like Halfords), and they'll be able to sell you a wiring adaptor with Rover connections on one end, and the right connectors for your new cd player (you'll need to know what make it is, e.g. Sony) on the other end.
It`s entertaining yet frustrating reading peoples attempts to answer car audio questions.. If you don`t work in the trade then best not to answer them.
On a Rover the wiring should be standard ISO, should plug into any recent CD Unit (assuming you have all the parts with it, ie Loom!) and no need to swap Red(ignition) or Yellow (Permanent).
wiring either fits straight on or get the change over harness for approx £10 at halfords ( plugged at both ends fits straight on )
