I don't think it is a foregone comclusion. He is a great driver, but he is not infallible. He still has a bit of a fight to win a championship this year.

If he drives like he drove in the China GP, and if Renault keeps making stupid mistakes, and if McLaren can't get their act together, then he's going out on top.
Regardless of what the crappy state of F1 is today as opposed at the great late 70s until late 80s where everyone had a chance come raceday, he's still one of the best drivers ever. Just not the best.

he probably will..i love alonso as he is a very determined driver but i dont think renault are as refined as the ferrari team and this causes them to make more mistakes whereas ferrari play it safe n go all out for micheal..i hear riakonen is goin to ferrari..he will most prob be the next world champ..he is a dominant racer whn he has the car under him
