Anyone know where the aerial connections are on a laguna 2, im getting inermittent poor reception..?
Answers:
If you carefully remove the radio it should be the largest black lead on the right hand side of the stereo. If your getting intermittent radio signals and the radio hasn't been touched check the aerial on the outside of the car for any damage first before removing the stereo. be warned that most renault stereo's are coded therefore prior to removal make sure you have a copy of the radio code
Hope it helps
its in the back of ur stereo. take it out and check each connection properly.
If its poor reception you will find that its probably water underneath the base of your aerial. If I remember rightly the aerial is on the roof on lagunas and they had a problem with them leaking water into the interior light unit damaging the central locking as well. Try removing the interior light and you will see the base of the aerial ,undo the small nut and remove the connection and check for corrosion.Clean connection to the aerial and the body of the car with fine sand paper.
Then remove aerial from car exposing the hole clean the rubber base of the aerial and around the hole ,dry thoroughly then refit the aerial sealing it with silicone sealant on the outside of the car only(between the rubber base of the aerial and the car body NOT inside as a good earth is needed for the radio to work properly).
Refit the aerial lead inside the car and turn on radio to check it works!
hope this helps
