Does anybody know if you can be issued with a parking ticket for parking in a disabled bay?

Answers:
If u dont have a disabled badge then yes
Yes! Where I am (US) the fines are large, and they make you do hours of community service.

Plus, it's cruel to take the spot.
are you disabled ?? then yeah you can be cited!
If you don't display a valid disabled badge in your vehicle, and your in a disabled bay then you may receive a parking ticket.
Yes. If you don't have a handicap sticker in your window you will be ticketed for parking there if a cop sees you.

I've seen many cops double check to make sure that the cars parked in handicap spaces are allowed to be there.

If you aren't dissabled or don't have a dissabled passenger, then find a normal parking spot. Even if you have to walk further, it won't kill you. The exercise will do you good.
Yes , that's thoughtless
Yes, and the fines are stupid.
There are twice as many handicapped spaces as needed almost everywhere, what a waste of space.
Yes you can. And shame on the person that parks there if not Disabled!
yes you can and if you are not disabled then you should get ticketed for that. Those parking spaces are there for a purpose.

Not only can you get ticketed for parking there.if you are driving someone elses car which has the parking tag.and you get caught you can also be ticketed.that spot is only for the owner of the car to use. One exception is if you are driving that person then you can use that parking spot.
If you are from Ontario Canada like I am, the fine is around $250 I think
If your not displaying your disabled badge yes you can plus if your not displaying the clock type badge aswell because some areas have a time limit !
I took my Gran shopping - parked in disabled bay - displayed her orange badge the wrong way up so attendant couldn't see date - got a ticket. So - parking when you don't have a badge at all - definitely - and rightly so.
Yes you can. Unless you are disabled with a disabled badge holder's badge.
oh yes they will slap it on yu so hard its like being hit by a demmon..
if your not disabled and not displaying orange badge, then of course you will. what sort of "abled" person parks in a disabled bay anyway?
yes you can
if you live in sunderland you can get a ticket no matter where you park especially if your coloured
You can in Hull.Disabled Badge holders who do not set the clock on their badge to the correct time they parked/not showing badge properly (eg not having it upside down)/Not displaying badge will be fined whether in disabled bay or ordinary bay
yes yes yes fined alot of money unless you have the disabled sighn
Yes, you can. Disabled parking spaces are for people with disability's, and may need extra space for wheelchair access. Because these spaces are normally very close to where you need to go, many lazy people use them to avoid walking. Many supermarket car parks here in the UK, are taking very firm action against drivers not displaying the necessary documentation of disability when parked in these area's.
you can be cited, jail and have your car impounded.depending on the cop
Yes. but if you did place a parking coupon (Singapore). Then inform the people in charge that you didn't notice the sign and that you did place a parking coupon, than you could appeal against the fine. Good luck but don't said it's from me.
In a public car park you can if you don't show your disability badge. In a private car park such as ASDA then it's just common courtesy and you can get away with it.
yes you can if you dont have a disabled badge or if you dont put it on display
Are you disabled?,it would be ok If you show a valid disabled cert , if not then ofcourse you can, you can also be towed by the police which end up costing you over £160 (Sterling). So be careful where you park,
i am disabled and have a badge you can park where you like but if the police or traffic warden see you u will be fined or towed away but do me a favour if you dont need to park there go find another space there is not enough spaces MORON
You deserve a ticket,,coz that little old gentleman on crutches and the wonky eye had to walk 200 yards to get his pension.
Yes you can,not only that when you get those lazy swines that are not disabled, that parks in disable bays just to idle to walk in super store car parks, it makes me mad.
