Can anyone help me about which sat nav to buy as I am a courier and need a decent system? Tom Tom ?
Answers:
tom tom is the best in my opinion try and get the most expensive you can afford because they have all of the extra features (speed camers etc )
they are all about the same really but the nav man is excellent. My other half is a lorry driver and it has saved him a load in time and fuel.
The best I've used is a Navman iCN 510. I was very apprehensive at first, but it has turned out to be an excellent piece of kit. It works at its best if you can get the postcode of your destination. Even so it only needs the first 4 digits of the code (in the U.K. that is). It will take you from door to door. It takes the trouble out of driving and even tells you when to turn as well. I'm very pleased with it. Tom Tom seems a bit too overpriced to me. I recommend any Navman.
tom tom 300 so easy to use
Garmin i3 Streetpilot. Its small. Its neat. Its reliable. Its bloody good and you can get one for about £120 .Certainly less than £150 and i have seen it advertised at just under £100.I work as a wagon and van driver and thats what i have. Its not as "loaded" as a tomtom but its a spot on tool.Hell i have virtually given up on maps as the Garmin gets me where i need to go.
I got a Tom Tom One and it's great, even though I live in the back of beond It still has all the roads and is easy to use.
