I too was ultra nervous about taking my driving test and failed my first test as my legs shoke so much that I over revved the car.

The next time I had a 2 hour driving lesson before the test and took some Kalms (herbal remedy in tablet form) and not only did I pass but I did it with only 2 faults for not looking like I was looking in the mirror, also my legs didn't shake and I drove like a pro. 10 years later my driving skills include lots of bad habits but the real test is driving after you've passed your test when reversing round the corner doesn't matter if it's messy.
whiskey maybe
Actually go early and have a one hour drive immediately before your test don't try and cram from a book it will help you relax more,Good Luck,Drive Safe.
Yes. don't know if you have heard of the Bach Flower Remedies. They have one call 'Rescue Remedy' and you can buy it at most chemists. It really works, but doesn't impair your concentration etc. I used this for my father's funeral as I was in such a state and it really calmed me. Good luck with your driving test I am sure you will do fine - think positive!
I asked this same question and this was the answer that saw me pass. (with only 2 minors I might add)

Think of all the idiots you know who have already passed their test.
Don't be intimidated by the examiner just think of him as another idiot.
On the test itself be sure to actually move your head when you check your mirrors. Its obviously not necessary but it does matter if you have a bolshie examiner.
The main thing is simply to chill out. It's the importance your placing on it that is causing the nerves.

At the end of the day if you fail its not the end of the world, you can always take it again.
1 final word.. Imodium!
When you get nervous, try to think about something that makes you happy. Maybe a new song, a new boyfriend, just something to take your mind off of the test. But don't forget to pay attention to the road.
if your nevervous and want to pass, simply ask the instructor if he runs a suck suck pass system, atleast you want fail
pop a xanax :)~
If you can go an hour or two before to the area where test is performed then go and drive around - check out roundabouts and lanes etc so there are no nasty surprises
dont overdo it with the examiner but show him you are in control of the vehicle - that is what will impress him.
good luck
just do everythig you enjoy, you'll soon relax and will forget about your nerves, a good nights sleep also helps, as this also relaxes you, just do everything you can to take your mind off your nerves and everythig will work out fine. Go out and enjoy yourself!
You're not alone with experiencing this anxiety! Your stomach is probably doing flip flops and feels as if little butterflies are buzzing around inside.no?
You can do all the relaxing, breathing, yoga, meditation you want before you go, but once you get there it will all come back to you..

Why? Because it's a normal feeling that probably 90% of all people feel when they go to take their drivers test!

Once you get in the car with the instructor and talk with him/her, you will loosen up a bit and feel more comfortable.
They are there to help you pass and make certain that you are ready for the road.
Put your Self Confidence into gear and have Faith in yourself. You'll be amazed after wards at how easy it was. :)

Best of luck to you...
Hi. Okay when I first took my driving test, I failed. I was trying to parallel park, backing up I went over a curb. It was a big ling truck that I had never driven before. I didn't know I failed until after we got back. The next time, two days later, I had a different instructor. And again I went over a curb backing up trying to park. I told her, 'I failed didn't I?" And she asked why I thought that. I explained to her what happened two days before, that I had only done it once before and refused to ever do it again but they were making me. That's when she said they only have you do that to see if you can back up. lol Well damn I could do that. So I passed. Just a little help if you have problems in that area. Because I as nervous too. Just forget they are there. Check your mirrors before you move the car, don't go over the line at stop lights, and don't roll at them either. If you're a good driver, you'll do fine.
Kalms worked for me a few months back. People say it's all in your head that they don't actually do anything but if it works who cares!! all the best let us know how you get on.

Just relax, get a good night sleep before hand and then go for it, if you good enough you will pass. Good Luck
If you are as good as you say you are just drive. Don't think about failing and you won't fail.

Good luck (not that you need it)
