Need soundtrack of a merlin engine from a ww2 spitfire?
Answers:
Easy, go to Alixisparkinn web site, then tab on the Aviation videos, they have a lot of great videos. In addition, if you scroll to the bottom, they have a "great sounds" section, one of these is the Merlin engine. Easy to play, and sounds like one!!
museum of flight /.co.uk
Tilt a lawnmower on its side so the blade is spinning in the air like a propeller and hold the microphone real close.
Since hardly anybody left alive has ever heard the merlin engine, nobody will be the wiser.
I saw 1 at a tractor show in chipping 4 weeks ago contact the organisers they will tell you who owns them .awesome sound
Juan Hombre, try stopping the blade with your head.
Dunno if i can help you on that katherine, save to ask if you have you checked your local library for video/cd soundtracks-isn't that a gorgeous sound though, that and the lancaster bomber engines, mmmm, nowt like a 'prop to get the heart pounding!(dad is ex R.A.F.so have heard loads, nothing like a merlin though!)Hope it helps:/
How about one of the combat flight sims?

Hi Katherine,
If your still looking for a soundtrack, mail me back and I'll attach one for you by return. It isn't very long about 5 seconds or so, but it is good quality.
many thanks , Allan.
