Rover 25 catalyitic converter.?
anyone had this problem with this or any other car ?

if a cat. con. is done then you will have no top end power. and your service eng light will come on from your o2 sensor. get on the high way and floor it if it seems sluggish and no higher rpm then its probably the problem. take off the cat. conv. and drive it see if problem goes away (when i say drive i know its bad so nobody please respond and freak out)
Check for low manifold vacuum
lots of time the unit will loose power buck fart stall but the best way is to shake it if it raddles its junk it all dependes on age of unit if more the 6 years old chances r its tosted
it either rattles, or you lose power as it blobks the escape of the gases. Check your exhuast see if anything is coming out!
Careful though it gets mighty hot.
