Where can i get training and qualifications for installing in car entertainment?

Hello,
if you want to be famliar with the details of how audio components work, you should study electroacoustics. You can learn it from books, you can try:
Introduction to Electroacoustics and Audio Amplifier Design
by W. Marshall Leach.
Building car entertainment is not like when X-zibit pimps our rides :D. A setup is not just a collection of parts. It's not my field of interest or profession, but you should have electric and electronic knowledge to be good. You should also study car electrics, to be able to install proper power/battery supplies for the installed systems.
Regards
ya, u try some of the mechanical splists, they would assist you ..
If you approached a company like Halfords and joined them you might be able to get training that way
enroll yourself in a collage and study to be a sound and lightning tech i did it and i got all my papers to say im legaly allowed to do it it takes tome but if your passionate about it then you wont mind the wait for those papers GOOD LUCK
"papers to say im legaly allowed to do it" no such thing!!
Ha Ha, it's NOT illegal to install audio in a vehicle.
But yes, go to college, take some electronics courses.
You will be taught everything you need to know, from ohm's law to electron flow.
How operational amplifiers work and what impedance REALLY is.
The difference between MAX and RMS power and how to calculate them.
I have my degree in Electronics/Industrial Electronics and it really makes it much easier (and safer).
Legal, hee hee, I'm still cracking up.
You can check out the following links to some installation schools:
http://www.ritop.com
http://www.installerinstitute.com.
Or you can try a google search for car stereo installation schools - there should be about 15-20 of them to check out.
Wow, the guy about legaly having papers, ha ha ha, that is funny. Alot of it will just come to you by reading stuff online about car audio and just doing things your self, however to get the most understanding and probably good hands on knowledge would be to take a electronics course. I myself am self taught, and I have read tons of stuff on the web from alot of different websites, at first you will see stuff on ohms, and fuses, and wire sizes and it might seem a little confusing, the hardest part of it is figuring out ohms law, because if you dont know ohms and speaker impeadences chances are you will mismatch the speaker and amp and probably damage the amp or sub. Go to different speaker companys and check out there tech section, they will give you some info, and search for Car Audio Wireing online. IF you need "papers" im doing it illegally right now, take me to jail for installing car audio.
Grab youself an MECP study guide and begin reading. I happen to go to mobile dynamics ,in phoenix. a 12volt installation school. Derek Lee and Todd Ramsey are the main dudes there ,and are both very accredited in the field. they both have trouble shooting columns in car audio mag. and auto sound & security. mag.check it out
Your on the same page as me man heres a link i found a while ago its got a couple of schools on there
