What type of car radio would be fitted to a 1980 Triumph Dolomite in 1980 as a standard fit from a Dealership.

2 ½ in. by 6 in.
It might be a radiomobile they used to be a very popular make and was made in England
2 types were fitted in triumphs 1 radiomobile or a motorola
Radios often weren't standard fitment in 1980.
In fact, my 1991 Metro 1.1L didn't have one as standard - you had to trade up the the S to get one.

The dealer probably fitted a radio to many Dolomites, but the customer may have chosen which one. It was also common for buyers to remove the radio from their old car before trading it in, and then fit it to the new one after they had collected it - I remember my Dad doing that lots.
Either a Phillips or Radio mobile
