These videos are usually proprietary as the results of the testing can be linked to trade secrets. We've done work for a major engine manufacturer for years and have never been able to see one. The History Channel or the Military Channel may have videos for sale that contain some of these videos. Good luck looking for them.

I've seen the video where they shoot a frozen turkey out of a cannon through the spinning blades of a running turbine but can't be sure where I saw it.could have been an FAA seminar..could have been Discovery on cable.As I recall the tests were conducted by Pratt & Whitney I think.it was done with a high speed camera. I'm sure if you can find it that it's for sale. Try contacting one of the aerospace universitys.

I work in the industry and have worked on aero engines for RR.
I have seen the frozen chickens vid.
Other tests include setting up a firemans hose to pump water for 24hours into an engine,then the engine has to start first time,and it does.
Another is to freeze the engine to around 25degs below for 24 hours,again it has to start up first time.
A small exlposive charge is put on the root(the base)of one blade(there are 26 per engine)and rev the engine on the test rig,then when its running full bore the charge is set off!What a mess!The engine is absolutley shreaded,but the MOST important thing that not alot of people know is that the engine casing has to contain ALL parts.That is alot of parts coming off at extremley high speeds in all directions.Trust me it works!!
Its the same with the bird strike testing,the engine is wrote off but nothing escapes out!
