How much will a head gasket cost for my mk1 fiat punto?

You'll get a gasket for about a fiver. The bad news is that it will no longer fit as the cylinder head on your engine will be warped.
I had a Punto that did the same cos the heads are made of aluminium. My mechanic managed to get the head skimmed to make the seal with the gasket flat again.
Failing that, try a breakers yard for the cylinder head and someone should be able to fit it for you for £300 notes I reckon.

You should be looking at 250-300 pounds but make sure the head is skimmed as they always blow at No.1 cylinder leaving a small blow line across sealing area.
