I'm so annoyed with my local Suzuki dealer?

Yesterday, my wing mirror fell off whilst driving. This morning, I took the car to my local Suzuki dealer and as my car is still under guarantee I said that I don't feel like I should have to pay for it as it is not an accidental damage. The case is intact, the actual mirror is find but the joint broke. The guy said more or less that I'm talking cr*p because wing mirrors don't fall off. I'm absolutely furious because mine has done, there is no other sign of damage and I refuse to pay for something I belive I shouldn't. What do I do now?

If there is no evidence of accident damage or impact than talk with the manager and explain the situation and suggest to him that the part seems to have failed because of a stress crack or faulty composite material in the housing.
You Need to be assertive and insisting with them - don't take no for an answer !!
if not satisfied - see if you can locate a factory service rep. customer relations are important to any company- see if you can go "over" the dealership and contact the manufacturer directly!.
If you're an AA member, they might intermediate. Or try writing to Suzuki's head office and complaining about the dealer. Suzuki want their dealers to look after the customers properly.
First of all, he probably talked to you like that because you are a woman. I know this sucks but that is the way it is. Are you good and mad now? Good, go back up there and speak to the service manager. Tell him what is going on and how you were treated. If this does not work, go to the owner, he is usually located in the sales offices, and speak to him. Following this chain of command usually will get you what you are looking for.

If all else fails, ask them who the Suzuki rep in your area is and how do you contact them. That should freak them out enough to fix that stupid mirror for you.

Good luck!!

Buy American next time.
Well to be honest it is hard for a wing mirror to just fall off like that, as they should have a couple of bolts holding them on. Did you notice if it was loose or vibrating when the car hit 30mph or so ?.
Either way if it was not your fault then i don't see why you should have to pay ?.
if your car is still under warranty and there is NO sign of damage. i.e you've whacked it! they should fix or replace the item free of charge. If after going to management you fail you can always go to another dealer and they might be more helpful as your warranty is from Suzuki and not just the garage you brought the car from. if all else fails complain to Suzuki UK. hope that helps.
Legally it is the dealership who must prove that the door mirror did not "just fall off", the fact that there is no damage to the mirror should prove this in your favour, but legally your word is good enough, if you have no luck with the dealership then try calling Suzuki UK customer services, and if still no joy then threaten court action, they wont have a leg to stand on and will back down if it goes this far.your dealership obviously does not have very good customer service skills because Suzuki will pay them to do the work under guarantee so they have just p1ssed you off unnecessarily! Good luck!! I hope it is not my housemates dealership (he owns a dealership in Norfolk) because he wont be happy Ive told you this!! hahahaha..incidentally i run the guarantee department for a French car dealership nearby!
bye
