I want to install a car cd tuner, how do I do this for a 1997 ford fiesta?
Answers:
You're old stereo will have 4 holes in each corner, you will need some thing long and thin enough to push in there, try a nail. When all 4 are in pull out the stereo and disconect the wires, should just be a plug. Then plug in the new 1, its very easy. I think in a fiiesta the stereo is bigger than the 1 you want to put in you can buy a plastic shape to put in there, go to halfords for that. good luck with that.
Go to Halfords. They have a good range of products and they'll fit for u.
Most Halfords have a fitting bay for a fee they will install it for you, At least then you will know it has been fitted correctly.
Honestly, it isn't as hard as you think. If you are at least moderately mechanically inclined you can do it yourself.
You must first go to an radio installation store (Best Buy, Circuit City, or other stores). You can buy the mounting brackets, and the wire harness. The whole setup shouldn't cost more than $30.
You can easily install your new radio in less than an hour. It really isn't as hard as many people think. It sure as hell beats the hell out of spending $150 for the full install, and giving your car over to someone you don't know!

ACTUALLY I HAVE HAD LUCK FINDING THE PANEL THAT YOU WILL NEED AT WALMART IN THE CAR AUDIO SECTION. IF YOU DO FIND ONE THERE IT WILL GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL IT. IF YOU CAN NOT FIND ONE THERE ANOTHER PLACE IS BEST BUY (ELECTRONICS STORE IF YOU HAVE ONE THERE) AND IF ALL FAILS GO TO YOUR LOCAL STEREO SHOP, THEY SHOULD HAVE ONE OR BE ABLE TO ORDER ONE.
go to the store sound advice
