I need to replace a VW Beetle rear seat. Which modern cars seat will fit into the seat bracket of 1972 Beetle.

Get the old one reupholstered.
Go round the scrap yards, you'll get a an old vw one. Much easier! No others will fit without making modifications
Absolutely none. The VW Bug rear seat is much more narrow than all the cars made since. The bottom cushion fits in a well made in the floorpan and has to be a certain shape.You can get a replacement at a wrecking yard or try www.jcwhitney.com for a new replacement.
