What does the warning light on my Peugeot mean it's an orange light with what looks like an engine block on it

Answers:
Its a major warning light for engine failure do not drive it till a mechanic has seen it ,
The reason it comes on usually is that either you havent checked the oil or water and that getting hot which can cause seizure if you drive it without seeing a mechanic to find the fault you could end up buying a new engine SO BEWARE
It means there is a Engine Diagnostics fault is recorded.

You need to take the car somewhere they can plug it into a diagnostic reader to find out what it is.
Its called the "Check engine soon " Light. You need to have the computer diagnosed to know whats wrong with it.
That is your engine management light by the sound of it. You may need a service or maintainance carried out. Consult your handbook.
service engine soon light or check engine light your cars computer has a code in it surprize!
Get our your car's manual. Look it up. See what it says!
could be your radiator water level.. read the manual.
probably your alternator faulty
The light is your "Check Engine" light, and it usually means you have a bad sensor of some sort, likely the oxygen sensor more often than not. Take it to a dealer, or if you have an auto parts place like Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, or some similar place they will hook up a code reader to the vehicle to read the engine trouble codes, which will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Hope this helped.
It's the engine management light. I'm a mechanic. It usually is the air flow meter that is the problem. If i knew you, I could have a look at it.
It's the "get home mode", engine not running to full capacity and could have an engine management problem. Take it to a garage so they can plug it in and reset/repair it. If you continue to use car for a long time with this on it could eventually damage engine
Take your car to a garage that does diagnostic checks. Its not a service light and could be potentially very expensive if you dont get it checked. It may be a simple thing too,but until its checked you wont know.Dont use the car, unless taking to a garage to prevent further damage
Engine check light you need a code reader to determine the fault area.
i had a 206 the same light came on in plymoth but still drove it home back to leeds did judder for a few miles but then was ok it turned out it was water in the electrics
but if i was u i would get it checked asap even if fault has gone with peugeot's u still have to get the light reset there are blokes in yellow pages who do home tune for around £40.00 he should sort it
its the management light, needs to have the stored codes read, expensive as theyare the dealer can sometimes be the best place as they have the specific software.
