I have an L reg 1993 ford fiesta finesse 1.3. Where do i put the tramission fluid?
Answers:
down the gearbox dipstick hole
it depends if it is a automatic or a manual. If it is an auto there should be a red colored dipstick under the hood towards the right behind the engine.if it is a manual there is a fill plug on the side of the transmission under the car. a manual for the car has detailed pictures of where they are. you can get these at auto parts stores or at the library.
If you mean an automatic transmission you pour the special automatic transmission fluid down the dipstick hole.
If it is a manual you need an allen key to unscrew the level plug on the front of the gearbox. the oil should be level with the hole.
Good luck.
If you,ve got one of them, then put the fluid in your tea man they,re crap
look for the transmission and the tube is on the right.. the other tube is the oil don't pour oil in the trans and vice-a-vervsa it will ruin the engine and make it smoke fiece!!! the best advice i can give anybody go to a parts store and by a repair manual for your car and model, always it is your and your cars bible!! and you'll have to by it someday!
for starters, how do you know you need it ?
in the trunk
more to teh point, why does it need refilling? (ive had an auto fiesta for years) remember to check the level, you must have the engine running, and have activated the selector thru PRNDL and back to park, and dip it with the engine running. otherwise your level indication wil lbe incorrect. (the torque converter need to be filled with TQF)
and you fill it up thru the dipstick. (RED) youll need a small funnel or a long pipe attached to the squeezy bottle cuz its a pain to fill.
its on the gear box. at front of it there will be a a allen key nut.. look at your gear box look down you should see it.ok
