At the Saddler Street congestion charging pay point there were no signs of a bollard. I did not see one since the car in front had paid and the bollard went into the ground. By the time I had paid, the bollard had risen about 12 inches, which was not high enough for me to see, and I drove into it, damaging my car.
Apparently this happens really often to visitors of the city who don't know it's there.
I would like to sue the council for my losses.
Has anyone successfully managed to do the same?
Thanks
