How can I get my band's gear to France?

We're playing at the end of this month, and we were going to drive but someone told me the other day that you need 3 years driving experience to drive on the continent. Any way we can get round this or would they just stop us when our passports get checked? Does anyone know of a good alternative, we get about 5oo quid expenses so flying at this point is a no. xx

Answers:
I don't think that's true?? Check with your insurance company? Maybe find an older groupie who wants to drive?? Good luck!
Eurostar! Very quick, very comfortable, and (depending on how many in your band), affordable.
Where in France are you playing?
swallow the gear in a very large condom, when you get to the other side, simply wait for nature to take it's course.

alternatively ask a mate with three years driving experience to go with you.
go buy van it shouldnt b that expensive n can you send me sum demo stuff 2 my email lilmisspompey@hotmail.co.uk?
put everything in a v22 osprey
If you can get yourselves there then just have a look at www.loadup.co.uk its a courier website, it wont cost you anything to put a advert on there and you should be able to get somebody to take your stuff over there.
