I never thought I would be so pleased to only spend 85p a litre! Course on the other hand, every drop means less opportunity to strike our american friends dumb with shock when they complain about the price of gas and we tell them what we pay - the number who have bemoaned $3 a gallon who have then been struck dumb when I tell them I pay about $8 a gallon for mine ! Sometimes it's fun to get the last word!

Yeh, I thought that the other day - I thought, wow, petrol only costs 85p a litre - but really, it is still soooooooo expensive compared to other countries.

I use Biodiesel and SVO.
its bizarre.. people will spend in excess of £10 for litre of vodka but complain at £1 for petrol.. i fully agree its too expensive especially in the highlands and rural ares but to some degree some folk have their priorities muddled.

it's getting there.. but i have ofeten wondered, do members of the government pay tax on there fuel?, or do they just give themselves a pay rise to cover 'expenses'
It is good that it's going down rather than up. Especially as my car has a 3 litre engine and gets around 26mpg.
With respect to the price in other countries, it is more expensive here than in some countries, but cheaper than in others. It's very easy when complaining about prices to only look at the cheaper ones.

england's petrol is only artificially expensive due to the high taxes placed on it. United states has a small tax of like .29 cents a gallon. This fuel price is a long due low but it will not last. Either opec will shut production off or it will head up when summer driving season begins in United States.
