What is the best way to get rid of scratches on car paintwork?

Answers:
Shoot your cat !!
t- cut
SELL THE CAR
Try to buff them out with a good rubbing compund. If they are too deep, it will have to be repainted.
If it's minor scratches try t cut, from most motor shops. Deeper scratches need to be rubbed down treated then re painted or sprayed.
If they are not that deep then t cut is amazing a fence jumped out on me the other day and i was gutted by how bad it had scratched but after t cutting it (about £8) there was only one left so i used a touch up pen and although it is not perfect, you can not really tell unless you are looking for it. If it is really badly scratched there aint much you can do apart from paying 4 a really costly spray job
t-cut, also useful to remove scrathes from cds, dvds just don't use too much as it may erase all the stuff on the cd etc, and rub it on to the cds around the cd not in random motions!
elbow grease and a buffing conpound.
Try Colour Magic plus its a coloured polish that comes with a coloured crayon,(for the deeper scratches) buy the colour to match your car. I did on a car that had been keyed all the way down one side and it hid it. Get it from your local car shop or halfords cost about £8. It really does work
"Prevention is better than cure."

Buy a car painted with a good mar resistant automobile coating.

Always clean the car with soft cloth.

Care to park the car away from urchins
Try T cut or a touch up paint stick
get some paint from your main dealer and spray over them, it might cost but your car will look great!
t cut rud it in hard and it should come out otherwise iff to deep then take it for a respray!!
