18" wheels on a vw corrado? is it possible and what size tyres would i need?
Answers:
It is possible but you may need to raise suspension a bit (prob not though) and using low profile tyres should do the trick but if you got body kit wouldnt try as the wheel wells are a bit cramped when fitted
Why?
It cant be to get bigger brakes in,
It cant be looks,
The 18s will ruin the ride, so why not stick with the standard bits and put the money towards a decent motor.
My cousin has a G60 Corrado and he has 17"s on it. I think the tire side profile is 45. Can't be certain. The car is lowered about an inch as well. I remember him saying that if he put 18"s on it they would rub. I did see ALOT of Corrados at H20 international this weekend and many of them had 18's on them but most of them had rolled the fenders.
easy , no need to modify car, only for 19, 20 ich do u need to alter car.
u need r18 225+ tyres 40mm thick tyres
Nobody makes a small enough 18 inch tire to fit. The smallest I know of is a 205/40, which is nearly 2 inches more in diameter than the stock 195/50-15s or 205/50-15s.
Even a 17 inch wheel would be a problem, increasing tire diameter by almost an inch.
You can fit but you will need to mod da arches
Don't know how big you can go without mods but to keep speedo somewhere near right each inch you gotup in wheel size from stock you need to drop down in tyre profile. ie 15 inch wheels 50 series tyre = 16 inch wheel 45 series tyre
