How do I change the fuel filter on an automatic Nissan?
Answers:
Year and model would be nice info.
Why do you want to change it? Someone told you it was bad?
Find the fuel line going to the injector rail and follow it back, you should run into the filter. If not, then it is located under the car somewhere.
*** I have run fuel filters for over 100,000 miles with no problem.
Many times, the fuel filter is the first thing out of peoples mouths. But if it was a bit clogged, it is my belief that you would see it start to have problems running at high speeds, where the volume of gas is at its greatest.
If it has under 75k miles, I wouldn't touch it.
If hair and make up is your usual maintenance, I would suggest that you let a pro change it. If the fuel lines separate from the filter while you are driving you could catch your engine on fire.
Get yourself a Haynes manual from here ;

Changing fuel filter is not difficult or expensive and the manual will have photos to show you what to do.
