Have a 1999 Seat Toledo - my hubby put a new battery in and left me to activate the code for the radio. Used the wrong code once and now it's permanently locked in "SAFE" mode! It's a "Radio Aura". Instruction booklet says to "respect the waiting intervals between attempts". I've been waiting for about 2 weeks now! Any help appreciated.
Answers:
try unhooking the battery to reset it. take off the power on the battery and wait at least two mins or so, then hook up the power cable again. and then see if you can attempt to unlock your radio again.
Your local car dealer may have a decoder, we used to do them for £10 you might get lucky.
take the battery off again if that does not work take it out and place in freezer leave for an hour replace and reinsert code.
