Where can i buy a car with hand controls only?
Answers:
Toys'r'Us
I think you will need at least some cash!
You would normally need to get a car modified for you
be more specific
At a model shop?
You'd have to get one specailly adapted.
You would have to go to a coach builder who does disability and handicapped vehicle conversions.
try a a car show room that does mobility cars
such vehicles are custom made for those who are handicapped and are in need of alternative ways of being mobile. if funding is an issue, you maybe able to find help thoughout the community.
the link below is a website that sells used vehicles. perhaps that might be useful as a start.
You can't normally but them off the shelf. There are companies that install hand-controls for disabled drivers.
You can find a reputable fitter via the charitable organisation Motability.
Most major car dealerships, will work with you to get a vehicle made to your specifications for disabilities etc.. If you are wanting to purchase a used vehicle try the autotrader.com
Good Luck
If your UK then talk to your local council ..they should be able to advise you where the local Motability schemes are.A vehicle can be adapted for most peoples needs.good luck!
i think you buy a car and put them on your self.
Contact Motability first - motability.co.uk
Buy any car and have them fitted yourself
I don't know of any car supplier who has hand controlled cars. As far as I know you have to have this done as a special and this will depend on what sort of hand controls you want. I did enquire about 10 years ago about a hand clutch and got quoted £250 which I thought was a rip off but to be fair it is a limited market so very much all hand done. My engineer and myself sorted it out and it cost £1
there are mobility specialists in yellow pages who will quote you
Good Question !!!
But I dont know the answer sorry
Try :
disabledvehicleadaptation.co.u.
dsp-mobilityelectronics.com
jeffgosling.co.uk
alfredbekker.com
autoadapt.com
pbconversions.co.uk
ricability.org.uk
I hope this helps.
my friend had a leg removed and he had to get his car adapted with hand controls at the garage. do you know it only took an hour or so to do the work. dont how much it cost though cause he was on the mobility scheme. it`s easy done though.
contact your local rehab department they will suply you with a kit and have it installed for you
no one builds them as there isnt a market for them all the ones you see have the kits installed in them
Have you first tried talking to motability operations about this? There is a company www.gowringsmobility.co.uk who specialise in converting vehicles for the disabled. They would probably be your best bet.
u can't , u have to take a normal car to a specialist in doing this modification, try yellow pages
