ok, its easy enough. remove the interior handles, the screws rae undreneath the plastic trim. the systematically remove every screw from around the edge. some have turnbutton screws, rotate 90 degrees to release them.
the panel will release from the bottom, and unhook from the window edge lip.
or you could just buy boxed speakers and put them on the rear parcel shelf. or cut them into the rear parcel shelf. its a whole lot easier.
touch the door and it will fall off, its a rover
Honey..honest take it to the garage for this.my fella had a rover a couple of yrs back now and attempted to do exactly what you want to do.he a typical fella that is reasonably good at handy work BUT this beat him hands down, the door that he attempted was the driver door and it was never the same again AND he still didn't have his new speakers installed in that car, they eventually wound their way into another car.
your going to need to remove 2 or 3 screws from the interior door handle may have caps disguising them , then where the door pocket is there are a few screws (Philips/star) underneath that too. check around the trim for more screws. shouldn't be any.
the tricky one is the window winder, they have a horseshoe shaped clip that will require a bit of fiddling with. Be care full as these fly off. id advise you use a tea spoon to push it off and a cloth over the top to catch it in. then steadily pull the trim starting at the bottom around to the sides to remove the fixing clips. lift the trim upwards to remove.
try taking the screws out that hold the panel on i find it always works for me
