I have noticed that some cars in America do not have head restraints on the front seats, any idea why?

Answers:
generally americans heads are too big that a head restraint
to work effectively would need to be three to four times the
size of a standard european model.
also most americans heads are so thick skulled that
they dont get damaged so easily.
also in movies they are sometimes removed to give
a better view of the actors.
I have found that in this case it is because of the frount and side air bags. When the car stops you keep going into the air bag.and with a head rest would interfear with the air bag.

This is the way I see it
if in an accident what are they gonna injure they are Americans so its not the brains is it?lol
Most old cars in england dont ave em either maybe u been watching old films
Because Americans haven't got any necks, and therefore they are not needed.
