Ford focus revcounter &speedo go to zero engine light comes on battery light comes on engine does not stop?

engine timing is out,
unusual due to running through management system though?
only known this to happen once before when owner jet washed engine,got water in the ecu?
check your fuses, check your battery terminals
your altenator or battery might have a bad connection
you might have something grounding out somewhere on the car, a bare wire or something.
Sounds like a harness problem to the dash, or more like a computer program problem. Have you added anything, by cutting into the wires and such? If so, it could be causing a ground, or short condition.
My advice? Scrap it!
THIS HAS TO BE AN EARTH PROBLEM ON THE DASH WIRING LOOM AS IT IS NOT EFFECTING THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM . CHECK THE EARTH RESISTANCE ON THE LOOM FOR EACH SYSTEM AND WHERE THIS BECOME COMMON ON THE WIRING SCHEMATICS (IN A MANUEL)
is it a diesel??
