Can i part exchange a car at a garage even though its owned by my mum or do i need her with me?

Answers:
If you mother is the legal owner of the vehicle then she needs to be present when it is part exchanged. Also only the registered keeper (which is not the same as the legal owner) can sign the section of the V5 when the pass the car to a motor trader.

So yes you need your mum with you.
She has to be with you. Only the Owner of the Vehicle can part exchange. (Legally)
dont know but she wont be happy when she finds out
Take your Mum with you she will enjoy the ride!
