Does anybody know if the road tax for 4x4's is going to go up to the suggested £1800??

Answers:
Highly unlikely, could end up upsetting a large percentage of the voting public. As a 4x4 owner who lives rurally and uses the vehicle for its intended purpose of towing livestock etc. examples like this of a complete lack of understanding of environmental issues and solutions really gets my goat.

Global problems need global solutions not local, knee-jerk, half-witted schemes. The real solution is a concerted effort to find a sustainable alternative energy source to fossil fuels.

Why should I pay more when the rest of the world carries on regardless? Is it so Americans, Indians, Chinese etc. etc. can drive around for longer in their inefficient, highly polluting vehicles? Not on my watch mate!
Lets hope so (:
I don't know for sure but I should think it is highly unlikely.
it might get the dam things off the road.

Mothers taking kids to school in a 4 litre engine miniature truck that they can't even drive

Put it up more
yes it will increase unfurtunatlly ror you there is a solution get a 1.0 -1.5 cc engine car as its only £65 for 6 month and £155 for 12 months good luck
no way, it was only a proposal. my 32 ton lorry only costs £1200 a year
Yes it is one of the proposals for the next budget, sell now!
the increase of around £25-45 in road tax for larger vehicles, such as four-wheel drive landrovers.
Unfortunately it was just a proposal to be adopted by the Lib Dems and you know how much chance they have of being elected.

I'd just have them all crushed
This is just a proposal by Menzies Campbell of the Lib Dems of what they would do if they win the next election - it's almost enough to persuade you to vote for them!
dont know but how aboutPelvic inflammatory disease (or disorder) (PID) is a generic term for infection of the female uterus, fallopian tubes, and/or ovaries as it progresses to scar formation with adhesions to nearby tissues and organs. This may lead to tissue necrosis with/or without abscess formation. Pus can be released into the peritoneum. ⅔ of patients with laparoscopic evidence of previous PID were not aware they had had PID (Cecil's 5th ed). PID is often associated with sexually transmitted diseases, as it is a common result of such infections. PID is a vague term and can refer to viral, fungal, parasitic, though most often bacterial infections. PID should be classified by affected organs, the stage of the infection, and the organism(s) causing it. Although a sexually transmitted infection is often the cause, other routes are possible, including lymphatic, postpartum, postabortal (either miscarriage or abortion) or IUD related, and hematogenous spread.

the road tax may go up but im sure you can afford it..try using a smaller car. you may have a large family, this i dont know, but there are other motors on the market that im sure you lot can drive a lot better. no offence intended
No, that would be insane. Don't see a point in those things, but that would be insulting.
I hope not cause that means everything will go up for my 1.4 Fiesta I think I read it was £800
