Any problems with V-reg Corsa?

One of my pals has a problem his V reg corsa in that when he brakes to sop at the traffic lights, his engine cuts out as if its stalled. However his car is high mileage. I have an X reg corsa (the same style as V plate) and have had no troubles with it apart from my clutch cable snappping!
Basically, as long as the car is in good condition, you should be fine!

Yes they are totally crap, handle poorly, and either driven by boyracers who pretend they are driving a subaru imprezza or by mothers who are off to tescos to do their shopping.
Two major faults I'm afraid.
A) It's a Vauxhall
B) They're driven by girls
oh! and they're CRAP!! (three major faults)
