talk to people. There is always a friend of a friend who has a car that he wants to sell. perhaps he has just got a company car or his wife would prefer an automatic or his son just got banned. try the local publican, he knows everything and everybody! Another good deal is sometimes a car from a dealer who is a franchise for a different make. They just want to get rid of this part-exchanged car as they have made their profit on the new one.
