How will British car number plates deal with 2010 on?

I don't understand why that would be a problem. I live in the UK - the number plates are composed of two letters (to identify the area), two numbers for the year, then three more letters. So the year 2010 plates would look like XX10 XXX and 2011 would be XX11 XXX (replacing X with appropriate letters).

No, Music Lad, there is only one digit available to identify the year. 06 means early 2006 and 56 means late 2006. It seems logical that 2010 onwards will be 11, 61, 12, 62 etc but I don't know if they will go down that road for sure.
