1.4 turbo escort?
can+could i get a turbo 4 my escort 1.4 (if did all parts would be renewed of course thanks sean)
Answers:
1.4 Essie'? why bother get yourself a 2 Litre RS Cossie off EBay or something, then we'll talk.
yeah you can get them at target or wal-mart. i think they call them a hair dryer.
You could do it, but is would cost a small fortune, best bet is buy an engine with a turbo already, as this would be a far cheaper option
Yes but why, would not a cossie 2.0 turbo make more sense
anything is possible with enough money and time.
(i'm putting a subaru engine into a VW van right now)
but at the end of the day, you are still going to have an Escort with a turbo. you would probably be better off to buy a car that is more easily modified.
don't think they made 1.4 engine with tubo unless u buy it after market but is it worth putting new tubo on a tired old engine you will blo it in a few weeks
It is NOT recommended to put a turbo in a non turbo engine because the oil feed in a turbo engine is bigger than that of a non turbo. By all means you can put a turbo on it, but you would be lucky if the engine lasted a few miles. Best bet is to buy a turbo engine. Bearing in mind..if you have a 1.4 car for insurance purpose.it will not be covered in the event of an accident unless you inform them because you are improving the BHP on the car.
