Acceleration?
Answers:
Depends on the car. If its something slow, like an economy car, its a waste of effort.
Also depends on your budget.
Standard bolt-ons (easy stuff)
-Computer programmer or chip (Hypertech, etc)
-Catback Exhaust
-Cold air Intake
-Shift kit and transmission cooler (for Automatics)
Expensive stuff
-Turbo/Supercharger
-Engine swap
-Engine rebuild power improved
Stupid stuff
-Souping up economy cars (i.e. Honda Civic)
-Nitrous
Cheapest way to increase power
-Get unnecessary weight off of the vehicle
nos kit, performance chip, high flo exhaust, a bigger engine
The engine must breathe well so air petrol input should be checked, the mixture must burn properly to give max performance so check out the plugs. A modified exhaust would help to get rid of the burnt gasses quicker.
Not enough information.
K&N filter
Fine tune timing
Bigger jets in carb
Hotter ignition system
High octane gas
replace computer chip
Plenty of possibilities but if you didn't know we needed more information to answer your question you better take it to the shop and tell them what you want to do.
Well its good to see there are still some who aren't concerned with the high price of gas. without knowing what you are driving..I suggest you visit web sites like hotrod.com.. you should be able to pick up some tips there to help you out.also I hope you have another means of transportation. its very hard to balance performance with reliability.
Try a jet engine mounted on the roof !!
Rear end gear!!! Change your ring and pinion ratio.
You could use a lighter fly wheel
turbo or suprecharger and
nitrous
if it's a honda, forget it. but i'd think it's a ford, so get a k&n filter and freer flowing exhaust.
Nitrous Oxide, can nearly double your power with just a few hundred quid!!
First what kind of car is it?
