Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
Answers:
Probably because they are easier to build than a round box! Major Krypton Factor!!
case a round box wont really fit a sqaure pizza
So that the pizza delivery boy can shake the topping off into one of the corners!
Square boxes are cheaper to make and stack easier.
You wouldn't be able to get it out of the box if there weren't any corners!
To stop it sliding when being delivered, collected.
I'd like to see you make a round box!?
the pizza will touch at the corners of the box and stop --
Its because the manufacturers of those vinyl/cloth bags which keep the pizzas warm made their products square. The square box goes into the square bag. I think its a big conspiracy, and it probably has something to do with nuclear missile silos - but I haven't proven that theory just yet. Soon, though, very soon..
because it's harder to make/fold round boxes than squares.
and pizza restaurants make sure they're efficient so if they provide round boxes they'll take time folding it..;)
in case you drop it, it wont roll away..
bcause round boxes cannot be made. its impossible.
Because a round box rolls away when dropped
Because it's too expensive to make a round box
Because They can be stored more easily
Because they do
it looks bigger
round boxs are hard to make and store and square boxs give room for the little pots of did to sit in the courner
I wish I had £1 for every time I have heard that one..
to stop it from sticking to the side of the box
Square boxes are cheaper to make, easier to carry, when you have several and easier to store
Because Pizza companies dont cut corners
to prove you could put a round peg in a square hole
because a square pizza wouldnt go in a circle box lol
I agree with the missle silo theory, all the people who say round boxes can't be made, or are too hard to make have never seen a hat box. Round boxes are feesible, but they refuse to make us happy. Damn those square box makers and their missle silos.
why is this under cars?
pizza doesnt come in aquare boxes, they are triangle
well if it was a round box there would be no way u could get the pizza out but being in a square box u have the 4 corners to lift the pizza out
i've always wondered the same thing.but now they put square pizza in a rectangular box.beside it would be very hard to make a circle shaped box
I could give you a really "cheesy" answer but well you did ask the question. Th real reason is basically due to the materials used way back when as it was based on a thick paper.( one only get square paper sheets and not round). "The most common form of corrugated board used for pizza boxes is single wall corrugated. It consists of two outer sheets of flat paper, called facings or liners, glued to a fluted, or corrugated, inner sheet, called medium. Corrugated board was invented in the 19th century and first used for making boxes as early as 1894. In basic concept it has remained unchanged for over a hundred years and, so, carries the distinction of being one of the most durable and versatile of modern inventions. "Pizza packaging probably began in the 1940s after World War II. With the advent of carry-out pizza, the first pizza package was most likely a combination of paper bag and a chipboard or corrugated square. With this, the pizza is placed on the square and the entire unit is slid into the bag which is taped or stapled shut. Subsequently, a circle replaced the square shape, making it easier to insert into the bag. This package was convenient (no pre-folding needed) and highly economical. But it lacked stacking strength, heat retention, and product protection capability — three requirements for good pizza packaging.
Boring but true! So no conspiracy behind this one.maybe someone should try to get a round pizza box.probably make the pizza more exciting!!
because they use pizza boxes for other things, like calzones & stromboli
there are some questions in this world that are better left unanswered.
