Accelerator is making a funny noise?
Answers:
I am no expert but while the car was in the gagrage, the mechanic probably made a mistake. Take it back and get it checked over. If that doesnt work go to a different garage.
Not enough info?
Where is the noise coming from?
Take it back and tell them to investigate maybe they left a grinder under the bonnet!
When you get there be polite, dont get there backs up, as they dont have to even take a look without charging you. They will be a lot more helpfull if your not blaming them!
Good luck!
Don't know - but take it back to the garage - kick up a fuss (preferably in front of other people) point out it was NOT making this noise before they got their dirty little hands on it and that you now expect them to put it right. At least you'll find out whats wrong!!
Scrap it!
Have it looked at as soon as possible. Give the servicing garage a chance to put things right before heading elsewhere (everyone makes mistakes), but judge carefully how they deal with you.
If this well known garage was a fast fitting service, please think carefully before using them again. Save yourself some money and get a proper mechanic to look after your car (your life) rather than one driven by sales and marketing hype.
Your question is a little vague, I suppose though it could be pinking, which is a kind of rattling/grinding noise, which is to do with your ignition timing. Check all of your engine covers etc, they could have been left loose and making unintentional contact with something thats rotating. Hard to tell without hearing it! Best thing to do is return to the garage and tell them theres a noise, it wasn't there before, fix it for free or you'll shop them!
1, Check you haven't got a stone in your shoe!
2, Check the mechanic hasn't left his big fat wallet under the bonnet.
3, Drive flat out all the time so you don't hear the noise again!
4, Have you seen your cat lately?
