Renault Laguna 1.9 dci electronics keeps going into limp mode?

Answers:
Weak battery, weak alternator maybe.

There also may be an overprotection voltage relay on the computer module which kick in when the voltage gets too low or too high based on my first statement.
Limp mode? I know the feeling mate.
Its French! What do you expect?
Serves you right for buying a french motor.
renault / citroen espesially notorious for 'black box' problems.

Unfortunatley not even a 'Haynes' manual will be much help here. You'll need a lappy with special software/cable just to diagnose the fault (unless your exeptional with a multi-meter, and know what all the values are supposed to be anyway)

So your gonna have to seek help from a garage, usually only 'main dealers' have such equipment. If your lucky you can find someone with it who could diagnose it for about £20 - £30(A garage gonna cost more, typically upwards of £40)

or push the car to the end of the street, smash the ignition off, twist some wires together, burn the car, claim on the insurance and buy a better car(not french would be a good start, German motors have exeptional build quality for example)
I've got one on a 51 and have had no problems with it although i was worried when i first bought it about reliability etc but i think its a sound car. you'll have to take it to a garage mate although phone around to see who can do the diagnostic work for the best price. id try to avoid a Renault dealer as they tend to be more expensive compared to your "back street garage" even though you will get the same service.
check the battery
