I believen the bearing between the auto box and the motor is failing. the car is spotless with 37000 on the clock with fsh is there any gearbox exchanxe or specialists in the west midlands I could contact?

Highly unlikely that your 'spigot bearing', to give it correct name is/has failed, with only that mileage on it!
Check to level of transmission fluid(oil) in the gearbox this may be low, this would cause a noisy 'box
changing the 'box will probably cure the fault,(simply by having a 'box with oil in) but this is very expensive, time consuming, and you cannot guarantee you'll get as low mileage replacement 'box.
2 things 1 is there is not another oil in gear box or the gear box is on its way out
