Is this true about people learning to drive. Must be driving 12months before taking their test?

Answers:
No, they're thinking about implementing that but if you ask me it's a load of bollocks. Not many people can afford to keep a provisional license. This just favours the upper classes. It would mean I would need to pay for tonnes of leesons as well as splashing out £1000 on insurance. It's a complete joke. I'm sure it wont come into practice as it's just ridiculous, and what are you supposed to do after uni if you haven't had 3 years of holding a lisence and had to wait another year to get cheap insurence!
not at all.
Yes they are thinking about it
no this isnt true but you do need to have enough driving experience in order to pass your instuctor will know when your ready, you could try a ten lesson intensive course this can last for a week or more hope this helps
Its something that has been talked about..but thats all it is talk.
It Depends on what State you live in. Some States are 6 Mths others are one year.
YES.AND ALSO THE WILL INCREASE THE AGE FROM 17 TO 18 AND BY HE TIME YOU TAKE THE TEST YOU WILL BE 19 .BY THEN YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OWN MONEY TO PAY YOUR CAR AND YOUR INSURANCE.
No, if your parents sign off that they supposedly went through the drivers education book with you then you can take the test right away.

Then you will die in a firey explosion 15 car pile up, because you didn't really learn it.

Your decision though.
Depends on what state you are in. Some you do have to drive for at least 12 months to get a license while others you have to have so many hours behind the wheel and can get it whenever you get those hours in if you can pass the driving test. Others, as long as you can show you have the ability to pass the test, you are in. So all depends on which state you reside in.
no it's just been suggested to cut accidents
It might be a good idea to throw an IQ test in too
Not yet, just an idea put forward to goverment by insurance companys and road saftey campaigners.
not to my knowledge
No, I was learning for 7 months then took my test and passed - that was 7 years ago mind
Nope. It took me 2 months after I got my license to pass my test first time. :)
