Should the car manufacturers of the world sue us "the public" for creating a demand for cars?

I can understand the principle behond wanting to sue the manufacturers of cars, as if they produced less, there would be less damage to the environment.

Equally I can see the idea behind your question.

I think we need to wait and see what happens, in America they sue people and businesses for almost anything. If the state of California wins it's law suit, then I fear the car manufacturers will pass the cost of the legal case on to us the public.
