not necessary - in fact there are probably suggestions against the act of opening the door while driving. (some people just shouldn't drive a standard.)

I only got a automatic tranny so the hubby could drive my car should he need it. LOL.
Clutch=brood of chickens.So yes they would have to open the door to let them out.But why would they have a clutch of chickens in their car in the 1st place?Going to market maybe?
if you let the clutch out on a old bedford coach once it would make the power doors shut. Door controlled by the clutch so you could not drive with the door open
