DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM OR DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
WOULD APPRECIATE ANY REPLYS.
Answers:
yes all you have to do is as follows
Drive the car to the nearest crusher, and then have it crushed.
Buy a newer model
Don't know much about VW's except my missus has just got a new EOS!
Sounds like an ignition key problem on your steering wheel. Get it checked by a mate who "knows" a bit.
take it to the vw garage mate im sure they will fix it . sounds lik an imobiliser problem .
Why would you want to take it to a ford garage .www.ford.com i dont think so
ignition problem or else you cat sleeps in the engine at night
Park on a roundabout!
When you pull the wheel to the right you say it starts!
When you pull the wheel to the left does it stop?
I have a 97 jetta and had to have the ignition replaced due to a recall. It was for all 97 jettas and golfs with less than 100k or 8 years old or less. I think the time has expired. But it maybe the issue. Another thing that will happen if it's the ignition is you will loose your wipers, headlights, and A/C. It sucks if your driving on a 98 degree night in a rain storm, believe me!
its just a lock.all cars have it..wen u turn the wheel to a certain point the lock releases. It usually only happens wen you park the car with the wheels turned.
Sounds like you have a bad conection of a connecting plug has come adrift inside top steering wheel cluster where all your swichgear is IE indicator arm and horn , Not knowing how mechanicly wise you are i would hesitate to advise you futher you might make it worse , get a car sparks to look at it
