Where are the spark plugs on a zetec engine?
Answers:
there are running across the front of the engine lump. follow the ht leads..
in the cylinder head. that's where they are on internal combustion engines. just follwo the spark plugs wires from the coil packs, and you'll find the plugs.
Sorry i would'nt even know where the engine is but I need the points.I'm saving up for a toaster.
Is it a diesel? Then it ain't got none.
you cant access them yourself
at teh front of the engine, theres four of them, theyre hidden beneath waterproof covers. on top of each plug is a thick wire, called a HT lead, follow the lead to the distributor cap.the centre plug lead (number 5, goes to the coil)
to undo the plugs remember, loosy left, tighty right. and use your fingers to start the plug. (at teh end of the socket extension) that way, when you cross thread it, you wont scrap it straight away. in fact i suggest turn the plug left until you feel a click as it drops into the thread, tehn turn right. and dont overtighten it, or on an alloy head its helicoil time.
there on top of the cylinder block.
if you cant see them sounds like a fiesta engine, there is a black cover on top of the engine undo the 6, 8mm bolts and remove cover the plugs are underneath
normally on the top
