How much does it cost to join the RAC?

I found them to be cheaper than the AA. Green Flag were cheaper still, but don't think they're as good.
HOWEVER, worth noting that RAC will try and increase the payment in the 2nd year. They send you a letter and say you don't need to do anything if you want to renew, and they will then take a higher amount out of your bank account. If you call them and quote the price they are offering on the net, they will reduce what they are charging.

Who do you bank with? I got AA membership with my Lloyds platinum account. Well, maybe not free. I pay about 10 pounds a month but I get travel and modbile phone insurance as well.
My RAC membership cost £60-66 per year, it covers me only not the car so when my bike broke down they came and got me
