Will you fail your driving test if you touch the kerb during your turn in the road?
Answers:
Probably, but guess what you already failed the spelling test!
Not if its the only thing you do, I think 2 fails or one major means you fail
YES - well in South Africa at least
yeah it happened to me its a bit -ch
you will automaticly fail i am doing my test tomorrow and i remember my instructer telling me when i hit the curb once that if i do that in the test i will fail
I passed my test 2 years ago and during my lessons I was told that if i touched the kerb turing a turn in the road then it would be an automatic fail. I don't know if the rules have changed since then though. Could you check with your driving instructor? He should be able to advise you or you could refer to your driving handbooks if you have any.
Good luck with the test!
Yes!!!!!!
You will fail, although you're more than entitled to stop before you touch, and pull forward to readjust the position.
Although after a few attempts of that you'll be failed.
My driving instructor told me,if you just tap the kerb then No. If mount it then YES.
In the UK.
my friend opened the door to let the clutch out and he failed
you will automatically fail if at any time you touch the kerb during your test. you are allowed up to 14 minor mistakes but this is regarded a major fault where one strike and youre out.
you must do all manouvers 100% also or you get an automatic fail.
No you won't. Someobdy I know recently took their test and did just that. The examiner said that he would have let her off that as it was her only mistake.until she did 35 in a 30 zone! Doh! Now that was an instant fail!
Practice makes perfect. Try this manoevre umpteen times until you get really good at it, and the narrower the street or road you are in, the harder it becomes (at first). But don't become complacent just because you did it 4 or 5 times without touching.
If you can do it 20 times, consider becoming a driving instructor (after you've been driving for 5 or 6 years without an accident)
Have a look at the links below to see what can be done.
Yes , the kerb could be a pedestrian in your normal driving and it shows a lack of control of your vehicle , the idea of the driving test is to show you can control a car above a certain standard , might seem harsh but , thems the rules as they say ( not sure who they are though )
Officially yes, but my instuctor has known the odd person to pass after having brushed the kerb very lightly.
YES i am afraid because three pointurn is very carefull turn u have to look all around to impress the examinar that u r carefull driver. When u driving and you doing three
point turn and u touched it u r failed ,in parking i think its miner but if you do it repeatedly may be lead you to failed good luck and drive carefully
Touch - maybe mark it as a 'minor' - hit or mount then it's insta-fail!!
I don't think you'll fail just because you made a mistake and rode on the curb i think it has a little more to do with your other skills for driving. so don't sweat that!
just one mistake then it should be OK
On the UK Test you are not allowed to mount the kerb- that is a fail, however at the commencement of the exercise the Examiner will caution you to "try not to strike or overhang the kerb" This relates to the fact that there may be Pedestrians nearby. If you DO hit the kerb near a Pedestrian, that would be considered a Serious Fault and consequently you would fail your test. If you hit the kerb and there is no Pedestrian around you will just get a minor error for that exercise. Good Luck!
