What is the regular engine temperature for a mini cooper S?

Just bought a new one and seems like it is running above average. Gauge goes from 0 to 120 degrees Celsius.

It depends on how hot the temp is outside and how hard your driving the car! Normal temp for most cars is around 80-90c under normal driving conditions. But with the hot weather we have been having it will probably run hotter. As long as it doesn't go into the red your ok.

Most modern engines tend to operate at around 88deg C.just place your index finger on the hot component for a few seconds if it leaves skin behind it's..HOTTT!
