Hello! do you have any advices for the following problem?
If she went whole the way by car, she would have to stop every three hours or so because of the pain in her back. do you know any charity organizations who help these people, any motels good for these people? thank you very much
Answers:
why don't you go and visit her? it would be much easier and less hassle for her, don't you think so?
Umm I would look into make a wish foundation. They always do requests even if you're not dying.
She can travel by plane, and it wouldn't cost a fortune! I worked for an airline, disabled people, even when they're dependent, just inform the airline and they'll make sure everything will be arranged. About having her special car with her, as long as it isn't a car as in a "car" like an electric wheel chair, also the airline will take it with them. If you mean a car kind of car, Well I assume you have one, or find other things and means to travel about in your country. Where ther's a will, there's a way!!
I have a friend who has the same handicap. It is an adventure to get her out of the house and to the store, little lone down to Florida to Disney. Here was our solution:
We rented a van that seated 10, and removed the 2 back seats, leaving 1 seat in the back. That left ample room for her motorized wheel chair and everyone elses stuff.
All motels have a handicap room or 2, just figure out where you are going to be and when you are going to be there and call ahead for a reservation.
It is OK that you have to stop every 3 hours or so, you will have to get gas and use the bathroom anyway by then.
