No I sold 92 of them. They were hard to maintain as far as the stainless steel body was concerned. Always covered with fingerprints. Besides it's hard to manufacture an automobile when your employees shoot & throw bombs at each other in their off hours. The only real problem was the gullwing doors. Had to adjust them every so often to make sure they open to the full extent. All in all it wasn't a bad car. It never reached it's potential but has maintained it's original value. Some people initially bought as an investment hoping it's value would appreciate but it never really has. They were somewhat underpowered with the Volvo v6 as the powerplant. There was a company in Columbus Ohio who had a twin turbo conversion that really turned them into a true performance sports vehicle. Ther was also another company In Ohio who bought up the remaining parts after the bankruptcy. I have one of the original window stickers showing the options & pricing details. They retailed in Canada for around 25 to27 thousand dollars depending on options. Only a few came with an auto tranny But they were pretty sluggish in performance compared to the 5 speed. Not a very practical car but a good moderately priced vehicle for someone who wanted something just a little bit out of the ordinary. Got to meet John Z himself & have an autographed book that was written & published in Canada about the drug setup & scandal. If you read the book and the court documents included in it leaves little doubt of his innocence. Keep in mind that the aquittal was never appealed & John went on to be Born Again. His dream never realized before he passed away. There were few tears at G.M. even though it was he who designed the Firebird while there.
